Jackson is only 2 months old, and he's already rolling over. My friend, Becky, took this video and posted it on YouTube. Jackson's great and all, but watching Becky scare the kid with her excitement is a hoot.

Movie update
Saw The Bucket List and Definitely, Maybe recently. The Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman is pretty darn funny but also had me teary-eyed, too. Definitely, Maybe had some funny moments. Not bad but not a favorite.
Watched The Neverending Story with Luke and Abe today. One of my favorite movies when I was a kid. It came out in 1984 ... I was about Luke's age. They loved it. Next up, E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, the first movie I ever saw in the movie theater. And probably after that is The Goonies.

Goofing around
In between the on-and-off-again rain today, the boys and I posed for some pictures in the front yard. Or more like goofed around for these pictures.

Hi, Finn
Neighbors Brenda and Kyle welcomed Finnagan, or Finn for short, on Friday at 8 a.m. He weighed 8 lbs, 2 oz and measured 21.5 inches long. He's so darn cute.
A few months back, the boys wondered if Finn would be their baby cousin. (They got their first cousin, Logan, in December.) And then later they wondered if he would be their godbrother. (They got their first godbrother in March when I became godmother to David.) Nope, this is "Baby Finn," their baby neighbor. We went to see him and his parents (who I don't have a picture of) at the hospital today.
Oh, and, Brenda and Kyle let the boys hold Finn today. Too cute.

The 'newspaper way'
This week, my kids learned there's a new way to get into the newsroom. Read more here.

Doozies and dandies
That's what we call owies now -- at least the big ones. Luke and Abe sported a few this past week.
Luke kissed the sidewalk Friday on a walk with his friends at day care and scraped his knee. Abe bit his lip Wednesday when he tripped during a game of playground tag with day care friends. Not sure I've ever seen such a fat lip. Good news is the swelling went down four hours later.
Oh, and, they're still sharing battle wound stories with each other and everybody else. Cracks me up.

Busy, busy
What's new, right? I don't know many moms who aren't busy. I'm going to have to rededicate myself to blogging. The boys are spending the morning hours this week at Vacation Bible School. It's rain forest themed. (Abe says jungle.) I dropped them off this morning, and they were excited to see their friends. Can't wait to find out what they learned.

Check up
Boys had their annual physicals yesterday. Luke is 45.5 inches tall and 49 pounds. Abe is 45.5 inches tall and 50 pounds. Luke got one shot. Abe got two and a finger prick to check his hemoglobin. Abe shed a few tears right after getting the shots. But he made sure to ask if he was still brave. Yep, I told him.

Poor bird
Found that bird. It's dead. On my sidewalk. I didn't take a picture. Lucky you. And I'll have to dispose of it before the boys find it.
Classic Abe
Sometimes Abe has bad dreams and the first thing he does is come find me. It was suggested to him that he ask God and Jesus to help to which he said: "I already tried that. Jesus was sleeping."
Guess Mom is the next best thing.

Commercial flash back
You've probably seen those eTrade commercials with the talking baby. They're good.
That baby made me think of my own baby. When Luke was a toddler, Quizno's were airing commercials that featured those creepy "sponge monkeys" hawking subs. Luke loved 'em. He would stare at the TV and bounce to the singing creatures.
So, I'll share one of those special Quizno's ads with you. And below, an eTrade one.
